How We Work

How We Work

Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. We feel a commitment to our community.

Our team approach adds perspective to all we do and provides increased benefits to our clients.

My name is Tom Grimm, I am the President and Founder of Admiralty Wealth Management. I've been serving clients for over 25 years in the financial markets as a Registered Representative and Advisor.

I am also a perpetual student of my profession, and I've learned that every client has financial needs that change throughout their lives. Although we can't control which way the wind may blow, we can certainly control how we react to it.

Whether you're in the building-wealth phase of life or the wealth-withdrawal phase, we are here to help you understand and navigate the most effective ways to approach your game plans as they change.

From Millennials to Boomers and beyond.

Derek Herzer

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.” – Abraham Lincoln

Derek Herzer has been serving his community and clients in diverse capacities since graduating. With over 15 years of experience, his career has centered on one core mission: helping and educating others. Derek started out as a high school math teacher in the New York education system and later assisted thousands of Americans with their Medicare decisions and Health & Life insurance needs, serving as a managing partner of a large national insurance brokerage. Now, as a Fiduciary Investment Adviser Representative, Derek helps guide individuals and families through important financial decisions.

Derek believes financial planning should be built on a strong and durable foundation. Much like the story of the three little pigs, his goal is to help clients construct their financial and retirement plans with “brick”, not straw or
sticks, so they can withstand many of life’s uncertainties in retirement.

Derek holds multiple professional licenses and designations, including Series 7, Series 66, and SIE, along with licenses in Life, Health, Medicare, Long-Term Care Planning, and Variable Annuity. He is also a Registered Social Security Analyst (RSSA), an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®), and a Certified Estate and Trust Specialist (CES).

Whether it’s Social Security optimization, Medicare planning, tax-efficient strategies, portfolio management, estate planning, and more. Derek is committed to helping clients make informed, confident decisions about their financial future.

Outside of the office, Derek enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, skiing, and mountain biking.
