FAQ's
Q: What type of clients do you typically work with?
We work with a wide range of clients from various walks of life. Admiralty Wealth Management clients include individuals, retirees, business owners, entrepreneurs, corporations, and beneficiaries.
Our relationship-based approach to advising allows us to serve every client, no matter the needs. We always welcome the opportunity to discuss working with you and see if we may be a good fit for your needs.
Q: What is a Fiduciary?
A Fiduciary must act for their clients; sole benefit and best interest. This is the highest act of loyalty, trust, and care established in the industry, and it is also how we prefer to approach the advice we give to our clients. Even if your plan doesn't call for a Fiduciary approach, having an Advisor that can act in that capacity, is very important.
Q: Will I have secure-online access to my accounts?
Yes. We provide you with a secure login and password to view your accounts online through Charles Schwab www.schwab.com/client-home or RBC at www.investor-connect.com. Both can be accessed through our website at the top of the page.
Q: What will happen to my existing portfolio as I transition my accounts to your firm?
We help take care of all the paperwork to move over existing accounts to ensure a smooth transition for you. While we are likely to recommend changes to your portfolio to improve its risk/return characteristics, we try to incorporate existing funds and positions where appropriate. We are likely to implement the changes over time to minimize any disruption and tax consequences to the portfolio.
Q: Is this a set it and forget it type of relationship?
Absolutely not! We remain Tactical, Relevant and Diverse in our approach to the investments, markets, and goals of our clients on a continuous basis. We have a broad mandate in our investment approach and look for attractive investment returns wherever they can be found. We use a comprehensive global approach to selecting opportunities and employing passive and active investment styles for growth, income and risk mitigation.
Q: Does your wealth management program have an investment minimum?
We are currently accepting new wealth management clients with at least $500,000 in investable assets. If you are expecting a sizeable future windfall and don't currently meet the asset minimum, don't hesitate to contact us to discuss your situation. Investable assets most commonly include current retirement plans, retirement accounts from previous employers, IRAs (traditional, rollover, Roth, SEP, inherited, SIMPLE), brokerage accounts, trusts, proceeds from an IPO or liquidity event, and cash you wish to invest in the future.
Q: What are your fees, and how are you compensated?
Our fee-based wealth management program encompasses investment management and ongoing advisory support. We calculate fees for this service as a percentage of client assets under management. The annual fee for most equity portfolios is 1%- 2% of client assets, fully transparent to you, divided and paid quarterly. Those fees may decrease as the asset level increases. As a full-service Advisor, we can also offer services that most fee-only advisors cannot. IE: Insurance, Annuities, Investment Banking & Alternative Income products. Non-fee-based accounts or services are offered on a negotiated and or fully transparent basis.
